SunVPN has a network of 16 servers in 7 countries: USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Romania, Singapore and Hong Kong. All servers support OpenVPN and PPTP. Some servers have a “bypass firewall” option that will enable VPN connections from behind firewalls.
SunVPN uses the 256 bits AES encryption for its OpenVPN service, which is the safest encryption available. For PPTP the default 128 bit MPPE encryption is used.
We found the server speeds to be excellent. We tested from a 20 Mbps broadband connection in Europe. Here are some of the speed tests we made.

All our presale/support questions were answered within a couple of hours.
Their email responses were very quick, helpful and comprehensive. There is no live chat or voice support, but overall we found the support response time and answers to be more than satisfying.
SunVPN offers a custom OpenVPN installer for Windows. A PPTP installer is also available for Windows.
The OpenVPN installer includes the standard OpenVPN GUI software, as well as the SunVPN configuration files, prebuilt into the kit. We liked that during install your username and password are stored, so you don`t have to enter it when you connect (as you will with the default OpenVPN installation).
Some OpenVPN servers have a “bypass firewall” option that enables you to connect from behind a firewall. This option uses TCP port 80 for data packets transport, but we found that this slows down the connection considerably. If not behind a firewall we recommend you to use the normal “fast” UDP connection:
The PPTP Windows installer creates the VPN connections in the OS. You can also do this manually, this is more of a shortcut that is useful when you need more connections created and don`t want to do this manually.
There is no custom installer for Mac OS. You have to download Tunnelblick and manually copy the OpenVPN configuration files into the appropriate folder.
Overall we found SunVPN to be an excellent VPN provider, with a reliable network of high speed VPN servers, good support and excellent usability, especially for Windows users.
